CHINA’S population is the largest on earth, with more than 1.34 billion people. Since its implementation in 1979, the one-child policy has prevented more than 400 million births in China, according to China's National Population and Family Planning Commission. However, the true nature of the one-child policy and what it entails was kept hidden until activists started exposing them. Some were jailed, others ran out of China. Most recently, it took a blind Chinese man Chen Guangcheng to reaffirm the true nature of china forced one child policy. Chen Guangcheng’s 2005 investigation into coercive family planning practices in Linyi County, Shandong Province exposed 130,000 forced abortions and sterilizations in Linyi in that year alone. For exposing the government, he was jailed for four years and three months and remained under house arrest, where he was tortured and denied medical treatment, he recently escaped and went to the US Embassy for help but in an unclear twist, Chen ended up in the hands of the Chinese government. Many have shown anger and dissidence over the US nonchalant manner in handling the case and have opened the Obama Administration to criticism that it had abandoned the activist and is only interested in trade talks with China. Chen documented the gory details of the policy but the end product of that policy was uncovered by South Korean custom officers when they discovered thousands of pills filled with powered flesh of dead babies at Incheon Airport after they were attempted to be smuggled in from China. The highly demanded capsules are viewed as a remedy to all illness.
The Korean authorities said the smuggling of dead human fetuses had increased with 35 hauls containing 17,450 capsules being discovered since the first case was revealed in August 2011. Some are disguished with capsule dye or switched into boxes of other drugs. Chinese officials are understood to have been aware of the trade and have tried to stop the capsules being exported but thousands of packets of them have been smuggled through to South Korea.
A Korean documentary last year claimed some Chinese hospitals and abortion clinics were working with private companies to notify them when a baby is still born or aborted. The baby corpses are then bought, stored in families household refrigerators to avoid suspicion. They are later removed and taken to clinics where they are chopped into small pieces, placed in medical drying microwave. Once the skin is dry, it is grounded into powder and then put in capsules along with herbs, ready to be sold as “stamina enhancer”
Laboratory analysis carried out on the confisticated capsules revealed the brownpowdery substance found in the capsules was 99.7 to 99.9 per cent human. The test also revealed hair and nail remnants and the gender of the babies used were also identified. The capsules also contained Super-bacteria and other virus and bacteria, which are harmful to the human body.
Chinese herbology has been around for centuries and have about 100,000 medicinal recipes, which combines both plants extracts, animal parts, human parts and minerals and claims to be an alternative method for curing diseases. Some of the animal parts used can be considered rather strange such as cow gallstones, (Animal penises are generally regarded as therapeutic) rhino horns, (rhino horns are used to cure everything from broken bones to headaches), black bears and antelope. Traditional Chinese medicinal also uses 35 human body parts and excreta in medicines, including bones, fingernail, hairs, dandruff, earwax, impurities on the teeth, faeces, urine, sweat, and organs.
Though they claim to cure diseases there is limited proof they actually work.

OFTEN wondered what happens to all the love after a break up? Former Pegswood counsellor has an answer. Instead of walking away with your dignity intact, stoop to the lowest level known to man and get even. Make their life miserable and harass them within an inch of their life. James Burley who used to be chairman of Pegswood Parish Council is accused of subjecting his ex partner Sharon Auld to racially aggravated harassment. He also accused her of breaking the village “Code of Conduct” by bringing in her Nigerian Boyfriend to Pegswood.
Married Burley had a four-year affair with Ms Auld, when they both served on Pegswood Parish Council and left his wife twice to move in with her. But when Ms Auld ended the affair, she became the target of Burley’s abuse. Obsessed Burly bombarded Ms Auld with silent phone calls, cruised in his car outside her house, on one occasion; he drove his car at full speed towards Ms Auld stopping only a few inches away and hurled abuse at her in the street. The incidents were reported to the police and Burley was charged and convicted of harassment in 2008. However, the harassment started again when Ms Auld began a relationship with Nigerian Frank Olufemi who was the only Nigerian living in Pegswood as of when the campaign started in 2010.
Newcastle Crown Court heard on Thursday 19th April, 2012 how Burley vile letters put a strain on Ms Auld’s new relationship as Mr Olufemi began to think Burley’s views must be shared by other members of the community. The court also heard eight diaries were found during a search of Burley’s home, some of which contained similar extracts to what was said in the letters.
In his letters the 74- year old branded Africans pedophiles, said they were all born with Aids and that Mr Olufemi should be sent back to the 'jungle'.
Prosecutor Christopher Rose told the court the first letter was sent to Ms Auld’s mother in March 2010. Extracts of it were read out in court, which said: 'we don’t do black. You Auld’s must be the only lot who don’t know the code of conduct in our village.
'We think you should get it sorted. You know as well as anyone they are born with Aids, it would be a shame if you got that as well.'
The next letter arrived on the day Ms Auld got engaged to her partner and contained a newspaper clipping of conflict in Nigeria. Ms Auld told jurors she was shocked to receive the offensive material on the day of her engagement. “I was just gobsmacked and quite upset about it. It was just trying to tell me Nigerians were evil people basically.”
More letters soon followed with one making reference to the note sent to Ms Auld’s mother 'Nothing has seemed to change. We take it she condones your stupid actions or you just do as you want to.' The letter continued: 'Aids came from men in Nigeria having sex with small boys and bringing it into our country.' 'Throw him back into the jungle where he belongs. Get out of our village with this horrible black man.
‘We don’t do black in this village. We should not have to repeat our feelings.'
Another letter queried Mr Olufemi’s ability to provide for Ms Auld and said he only wanted British papers.
In other letters Ms Auld was branded the 'village trollop' and called a 'slut' and there was an explicit sexual reference.
Commenting on Mr Olufemi’s looks, one letter said: 'He looks as though someone has been chopping sticks on his face, he has a big mouth, massive lips.’
A further letter said Ms Auld had made a 'mistake' bringing a black man into the village and spoke well of Burley, making reference to the breakdown of the relationship between him and Ms Auld.
Despite DNA found in saliva on the seal of one of the envelopes containing an offensive letter linking him to the letters, Burley is emphatically denying sending any of the letters to Ms Auld. Fighting back tears, he told the court he had suffered two strokes in four years and ended up in and out of hospital with depression for 18 months and had been disowned by his family.
When Sharon and I parted I was devastated.
“I had two strokes in four years and had to attend St George’s Hospital for 18 months with depression. My family disowned me when I was discharged and they are still not speaking to me.”
“ I was not responsible for sending any of the letters. I have never sent anything, that’s the honest truth” he suggested a former friend of his, who has since died, may have sent the letters following discussions he had while drinking at his local club. However the daughter of the man in question claims her father was never a friend of Mr Burley.
When confronted with some extracts from letters which were similar to entries found in his diary, he claimed bits of the conversations he had in the social club were written down on beer mats or scraps of paper and said he did not know how DNA, which prosecutors say was his, was found on one of the envelopes. “I have no idea whatsoever,” he said.
“If you wanted to get my DNA you could get it from anywhere in Sharon’s house, but I don’t think that would be transferred on to a letter.”
Burley, denies racially aggravated harassment against Ms Auld between May and December 2010. The trial continues.

Though Easter is well out of the way till next year, the celebrant is still stirring up controversy. Archaeologists working in Jerusalem, claim to have found a discovery inside a burial tomb, dating back to the time of Jesus Christ that could shed more light on the origins of Christianity.
The team of Archaeologists which comprised of controversial filmmaker Jacobovici with three Emmys for outstanding Investigative Journalism and his archaeology team and Biblical historian Professor James Tabor of the University of North Carolina are convinced that several pieces of evidence found in the tomb, including a 2,000- year –old engraving on the side of the burial site, human bone boxes, the close proximity to the burial site in the 1980s containing the remains of Jesus family all points to the authenticity of their claim.
The find is 200ft away from an earlier discovery known as the Jesus Family Tomb, which caused a lot of controversy after it was uncovered in the 1980s. Archaeologists then claimed it contained ossuaries inscribed with names associated with Jesus's family. This discovery ignited the theory that Mary Magdalene was buried alongside Jesus and he had married and raised a family with her. However many leading theologians were quick to quash such claims.
The Jesus Family Tomb could not be properly examined due to protest by Orthodox Jews. The site was sealed up and a tower block built over it. Determined to continue the research, Professor Tabor teamed up with film maker Jacobovici. The pair obtained permission from the Israeli government to explore the area. The researchers, who believe the tombs are located in a land that was owned by Joseph of Arimathea at the time, claims this site is unique because they found a limestone box known as an ossuarie with an inscription and another box carrying a drawing of a fish with a stick figure in its mouth which Professor Tabor believes to refer to the story of Jonah and the Whale. The limestone carries a Greek inscription and is open to interpretation as meanings of words could be lost during translation.
The interpretation so far are; "O Divine Jehovah, raise up, raise up" or "The Divine Jehovah raises up to the Holy Place" or "The Divine Jehovah raises up from." Professor Tabor said 'this inscription has something to do with resurrection of the dead, either of the deceased in the ossuary, or perhaps, given the Jonah image nearby, an expression of faith in Jesus' resurrection.
The ossuary with the image that Tabor and his team understand to be representing Jonah also has other interesting engravings. These also may be connected to resurrection, Tabor notes. On one side is the tail of a fish disappearing off the edge of the box, as if it is diving into the water.
There are small fish images around its border on the front facing, and on the other side is the image of a cross-like gate or entrance—which Tabor interprets as the notion of entering the 'bars' of death, which are mentioned in the Jonah story in the Bible. The high tech excavation was done using a camera mounted on a robotic arm, so as to explore the ancient burial site without disturbing anything.
Speaking about his feelings during the excavation, Professor Tabor said "It's almost like a moonscape feeling of something eerie, something kind of silent- a reverent feeling really," Because these people died 2,000 years ago and now we are investigating their last memories, how they bury their dead, what they left behind, so that was there and then the excitement of, 'Well will there be something we'll find or will we find just another Jewish tomb'?"
Though Professor Tabor and his team are certain they have discovered Jesus final resting place and his remains, however, other scholars are extremely sceptical. Mark Goodacre, an associate professor of religious studies at Duke University, who specialises in the New Testament, told ABC News that the fish engraving is actually no such thing.
He said: 'When is a fish not a fish? When it has handles, matching handles. It's a vessel. It's a vase. It's a vase that looks like many of the ones that you'll find in the early Roman period.' He added that there is no firm evidence relating to Jesus in either tomb.
He also thinks that Tabor and his team heads are "full of DaVinci Code," referring to the 2003 mystery novel written by Dan Brown about the descendants of Jesus Concurring is University of Iowa assistant professor of classics and religious studies Robert Cargill who thinks the story is bogus, saying that there are "clearly handles on the top of the so-called ‘Jonah fish' image. No credible scholar except those that work with or for Simcha on this or some other project believe his conclusions… The evidence does not support their sensational claims. But that doesn't stop them from wanting it to be true, so in their minds, it's true."
