GSK re-launches Macleans Complete Care and Herbal Toothpaste

IN tune with its philosophy of keeping abreast of global trends in the oral health care market, Glaxosmithkline Consumer Nigeria Plc recently re-launched its Macleans Complete Care and Herbal Toothpaste. The re-launch, according to the company, had become imperative in order to meet the ever-changing needs of its teeming consumers.

The company’s Marketing Director, Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo explained that the re-launched products have been specially designed to give strength to the teeth from inside out, adding that the claim has been globally researched and scientifically proved.

According to her, with the new pack, Glaxosmithkline remains the first indigenous company to locally manufacture toothpaste with holographic pack. This, she added, would go a long way in preventing counterfeiting.

She further stressed that in spite of the added values, the cost price remains the same as of the old product.

These values, she said, make the toothpaste valuable to consumers. Introduced in the 60s, Macleans was out of the nation’s market for a while but came back in 2005 and has since been in the second position in the toothpaste market.

Oyebanjo explained that the priority of the company is to satisfy its customers and support the nation’s dentists, by providing platforms for oral health education via Community Dental Health Education (CODEH) programmes in schools, communities, markets and the likes.

She also expressed the company’s commitment to providing Nigerians with the best in oral health hygiene.
