Broken home and reconciliation (II)

Share

AND above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins’.” 1 Peter 4:8. This means, love does not discuss sin. Love does not gossip about a brother who has vices; love does not draw attention to sin. This is the problem we all have. Love is so far from many of us. We say we love but we don’t practice love – by our actions, by our character etc. Remember, you need to forgive because you need to be forgiven.

God has written us into an unprecedented, revolutionary story of reconciliation in which hostilities are destroyed and enemies become friends, parents play with their children and peace their arms around them — a generation of vipers shall become a seed of saints, he joined himself to them — the wolf dwelt with the lamb. This means, man is a wolf to man, man is a snake to man, man is a lion to man.

The right knowledge of God settles peace. There are different types of messages in churches. Some don’t even believe there are witches and wizards. Minus miracles, the church becomes more philosophy. You yourself, you are a miracle — you know you were once a tiny embryo, look at what you have become today — is that not a miracle? For you to sleep and wake up is a miracle and the answer to your prayer is miracle. If there is no answer to your prayer, you will stop praying, So, the answer to your prayer, is a miracle. Looking freely, dancing freely, shouting freely — all are miracles. You too are a miracle worker; the measure of your miracle may be little.

The right knowledge of God settles peace. When you receive the right knowledge of God, you will know that the victim and the perpetrator stand in helpless need of His divine forgiveness. When you have the right knowledge of God, you will not put yourself in the position of judge. Rather you will be sober, realising that you need to forgive, you need to be forgiven. The way and manner God executes His plan in our lives differs. God used a thorn to humble Paul. Who knows what God might have used to humble you, to keep you alive, to keep you with Him. It could be setback, it could be sickness. God can use any foolish thing.

When you receive the right knowledge of God, you will not concentrate on your situation. The poor will not concentrate on their poverty, while the rich will not concentrate on their wealth because a man may be poor and yet be a friend of God. The right knowledge of God settles peace.
