IGC Matchplay ends today
THE two-day Matchplay between Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) and Ikeja Golf Club is expected to end today.
The competition which begins with Doubles yesterday will end with singles today according to Segun Otukoya, a member of IGC Competition Committee.
He said the game was an interacting session to foster friendship among the sister clubs in the country. Ikeja Golf Club had earlier hosted the club in a similar event and they are already in Ibadan for the second leg of the Matchplay event.
The two- day event will also be used by the IGC players to prepare them for the forthcoming first Insurance Open Golf Championship to be hosted by the club next month.
"This is the second leg after we paid a visit to Ikeja and now it is our turn to play host to the Ikeja Golf Club today in a friendly atmosphere,'' Otukoya said.
