ENGLISH Premier League side, Fulham, has been told to either  pay £6million (about N1.8bn) for Osaze Odemwingie or forget about prising away the forward from West Bromwich Albion.

The Nigerian international is wanted by Fulham, which also parades compatriot, Dickson Etuhu, but it emerged yesterday that West Brom is unwilling to sell the player for cheap.

Fulham had already tabled an offer of £3m plus two players but was  turned down by its Premiership rival.

The Baggies insist the 30-year-old striker is worth £6million and have asked Fulham to meet up the demand.

The Cottagers are believed to be interested in Odemwingie not only to bolster their forwardline but to also feel that a move away from West Brom will be attractive to the Nigerian.

Odemwingie scored a total of 15 goals for West Brom last season but has managed only five this term in 19 games.

Reports claim that Odemwingie and West Brom coach, Roy Hodgson have fallen out due to the player's low output.

Hodgson says the striker ''is difficult to work out'' after seeing his form collapsing in recent games.

Meanwhile, Queen's Park Rangers are watching the situation and may cash in on disagreement by both Fulham and West Brom to land the player admired by new boss, Mark Hughes.
