Avoid Coniah’s example
CONIAH had a very good opportunity in Judah, but he forfeited it. God got angry with him so much that He called Jeremiah to write a sentence of judgment against him and his children forever. What has been written against him has been written.

“Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD,  Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.” Jere. 22 v 28-30.

It is a terrible thing for God to write “childless” concerning a man. Whether it is positive or negative, whatever has been written in the word of God has been written. Your responsibility is to avoid every negative thing that could work against your destiny.

The Judas’ pitfall
The prophesy about the betrayal of Jesus did not specify that Judas Iscariot would be the traitor. It only says somebody very close to Him would betray Him. Peter, James and John were even closer to Jesus than Judas. Yet, this man fell into the snare of the devil and could not obtain mercy because of what has been written.

“For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.” Acts 1 v 20.

Judgment is written
If you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus, please know that it is also written that “the wages of sin is death.” It is written that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” It is written that “this is the condemnation that light (Jesus, the son of God) came into the world, but the world loveth darkness more than light.” It is written, “how shall we escape (hell) if we neglect so great a salvation?”

Mercy is also written
The Lord is not willing that anyone should perish. Therefore, it is also written, “if any man comes to me, I will not in anywise cast out.” It is written, “the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” It is written, “therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away...” The power of decision is in your hands. What has been written has been written.
