Malaysian boys paint Lagos red

Share

With the recent crackdown on Nigerian students in Malaysia, many of the Nigerian youths

in the far East country have relocated home. Interestingly, these students are now painting the town in all manners of colours. Unlike in the past, yuletide is a homecoming period for Nigerians in the diaspora with American and European returnees leading the pack. Today, with the economic crises around Europe and America, they no longer seem to have the financial capacity to cause the usual stir as young turks from Malaysia have taken over.

At the moment, fun spots and hospitality centres around Lagos are cashing in on the unprecedented patronage of the free spending Malaysian boys. Aside parading art automobiles, the rate they pop champagne at night clubs gives the impression that they pluck money from Malaysian palm oil trees, leaving their European and American counterparts envious.
