Maku, Plateau Gov eulogise Commodore Suleiman
THE Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, and the Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, on Saturday, in Abuja, extolled the contributions of retired Air Commodore Dan Suleiman to nation building.
Air Commodore Suleiman was a member of General Murtala Muhammed's supreme military council between July 1975 and March 1976, and military governor of Plateau State from March 1976 to July 1978.
Speaking to Sunday Tribune shortly a church service to commemorate the 70th birthday of the retired commodore, which was held at First Baptist Church, Garki, Maku described the former military governor as an astute administrator whose sincerity and commitment to building a virile nation deserves emulation.
He maintained that Commodore Suleiman had remained consistent in his desire to ensure that the country moved forward, adding that the life of the former Federal Commissioner for Health and Special Duties has shaped the history of the nation in a positive light.
Speaking also, Governor Jang described the former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Russia as a complete gentleman, elderstatesman, wonderful familyman and a complete son of God.
The governor observed that Commodore Suleiman served Plateau State so well that, "We all have things to learn from him."
