THE Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has expressed satisfaction with the level of medical attention accorded victims of the Kano bomb blast, saying that should any case go beyond the medical expertise of the nation’s hospitals, the federal government would not hesitate to refer such cases abroad for treatment.

He made the assertion to pressmen  shortly after he visited victims of the Kano bomb blasts at the  National Orthopedic Hospital, Dala and Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. He said at the moment there were about 30 patients at the Dala Orthopedic hospital.

Also, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade was  also in Kano on Saturday to commiserate with the Emir of Kano, though the visit was said to be a private one.

However a source who preferred anonymity disclosed that it would not be unconnected with the last attack of Boko Haram in the state.

While he was in town, the Yoruba community in Kano, led by its president-general , Dr. Suara Adesokan and the Special Adviser on Inter-community relation to the state governor, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulateef,  paid a visit to the royal father

In  the same vein the former national security adviser, General Aliyu Gusau (rtd) paid a sympathy visit to the governor.

Also, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sir Abubakar Sa’ad III gave his support to the  Federal Government on  the option of dialogue to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency.

The religious leader stated this while he was in Kano to commiserate with the people of the state on the recent attack the sect which claimed hundreds of people, just as he noted that the cause of the bombings was the misunderstanding of religion.
