THERE are many who don’t acknowledge God as their source of help. That is why they keep struggling in their careers and businesses, without any progress.

For instance, Jesus, the Son of God, never attributed any miracle in His ministry to Himself. He always made it clear that on His own, He could not do anything, except what He had received from His Father (John 5:19).

Jesus acknowledged His source of help at every point in time. If Jesus had laid such example for us to follow, then we must follow devotedly. It is by following this laid down example that determines whether your career or work will progress or not. Anything done in the assignment God had placed in your hands is done by God, Himself. His Word says: Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (1Thess. 5:24). Those who don’t acknowledge God as their source of help, end up as failures.

God called you into the work you are doing. For the purpose of achieving success in it, He puts His gift and power for accomplishment in you and prepares, the way before you. So, the glory for every work done through your hands should go to God, not to you. He alone did it. You didn’t help in anyway (Malachi 2:1-3).

It is dangerous to infringe upon God’s glory. If you do, He will stop the blessings. He will bathe you in shame and sorrow. Always acknowledge God as your source of help in all you are doing.

For instance, many years ago, God told me to open a Bible school to raise up end-time generals for His Kingdom. I had never been to a Bible school before, so I sat down at God’s feet and received a detailed outline of the core courses. Today, the Bible school is thriving very well. It would be stupid of me to say the Bible school is mine. I had little or nothing to do with its success. God did it all!

In everything you do, acknowledge God. Let it be known that He is the Doer, not you. Say it with your mouth, and mean it from your heart. When you do this, God will release more grace in your direction to do more exploits. If you don’t acknowledge Him as your source of help, you will end up in shame (Malachi 2:3).

Friend, you need to be born again, if God is to be your Helper. You get born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. That way, you are born again. If you are set for this, please say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me!
