Maximizing your potential! (IV)

Share

LAST week, we studied about meditation. This week, I will show you a key that will help you to maximize your potential — information. Nothing renews the mind like news. Information empowers the mind. Every great mind is an informed mind.

Information is the food of the mind. The more informed you are, the more productive your mind becomes. There is no substitute for information in stirring up your mind. Consciously acquired information guarantees obvious transformation.

The most effective avenue for information acquisition is reading. God places emphasis on the printed pages: Study to shew thyself approved... (2 Timothy 2:15). In fact, God is the first writer! He wrote the 10 commandments on graven stone before giving it to Moses. That shows the divine endorsement of the printed page, as the most effective avenue for information acquisition.

Also, Paul told Timothy to give attention to reading, doctrine and exhortation (1Timothy 4:13, 15). So, reading makes living successful. Most of the greatest minds in today’s world emerged out of a studious life. For instance, Anthony Robbins has grown to become a consultant to big corporations such as IBM, AT&T, etc, by reading. Indeed, information has enlarged the capacity of his mind.

Nothing enhances dignity like information. Settle down to consciously acquire relevant information for your life. The truth is, if you have the information I have about the Christian home, you will have the same testimony I have. I don’t have to pray about my wife, children or home. I know what to do to keep everybody in order! Your dream for transformation is rooted in information; go for it!

Friend, the power for information is the preserve of the saved. You get saved by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. You can do so now as you say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver mefrom sin and satan, to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me!
