What class of person are you?
In chemistry, every result is a product of a reaction between reagents. God’s Word is an agent of change, and you are the one who desires the change. God’s Word is a reagent and you are another reagent, so your reaction to the Word of God determines the result you will get in your life, career and business.
There are four classes of people: They are the occupationaries, missionaries, visionaries and reactionaries. Let us look at their modes of operation.
Occupationaries: The world is largely made up of occupationaries. These are those fighting for survival. They do anything their hands find to do, with all their might. The end-point of an occupationary is mediocrity.
Missionaries: They are men or women on a mission. They are people of purpose. You may be on a mission, but it is not every purpose that has a colourful end-product (Proverbs 14:12). That is why any missionary that is not on an assignment ordained by God will be a victim of frustration.
Visionaries: These are people who take time to discover God’s purpose for their lives. The Bible says: Where there is no vision, the people perish...(Proverbs 29:18). No wonder, all men and women of exploits are notable visionaries who are concerned about their desired placement in God. Every divine purpose places a responsibility on the visionary. There is a running responsibility for every visionary, if he must get to his destination (Habakkuk 2:2).
Reactionaries: Reactionaries are those who refuse to take ‘No’ for an answer in their pursuit. Hebrews 11 is a list of reactionaries, who understood God’s purpose in their lives and never flinched. The three Hebrew boys — Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego reacted against worshipping Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image and gods. Even when they were put into the burning fiery furnace, they did not give up! God appeared on the scene and they were not burnt! (Daniel 3:13-26). Reactionaries don’t bow. They refuse to stop. The price you are willing to pay determines the quality of prize you will ever win.
To be a successful reactionary, you need God’s backing. To get God backing, you need to be born again. If you are set for it, please say this prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Now, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me! Now I am born again!
