IS Jeremiah’s dilemma a replica of what is happening in your life now?  He did not do anything deserving of a curse yet everyone  cursed him.  Everybody fought him.  He meant good for all but they misunderstood and misinterpreted him and so instead of an appreciation, he was cursed. Do you notice these in your life too?

In Matthew 27:63, Jesus was daubed a deceiver whereas we know today that He was anything but a deceiver.

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.  Matt. 27:24-25.

In the above passage, innocent children were being made to inherit curses from an issue they will discover later in life that they knew nothing about.  

In Matt. 27:19, the innocent wife of Pilate was made to suffer a lot of things in her dreams because of the actions of the Jews and her husband.  Your friend in the neighbourhood had just done something odious and each time you walk by, people whisper and say you and your friend are in the same boat.  Birds of a feather flock together, they conclude.  This is what is referred to as guilty by association. You were actually not an accomplice in the crime your friend committed but because your boon companion had been arrested for a crime it is believed you are also an accomplice.  This seemed to be what Pilate’s wife was experiencing here.  

Jesus was severally misunderstood like Jeremiah and at some points He was accused of having an evil spirit (Matt. 16:5-12, 12:22-32). He was also indirectly referred to as a child of fornication in John 8:41-43.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  John 8:41-43.

In fact the corollary to what we are talking about here is false accusation and Jesus was falsely accused several times during His ministry on earth.

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?   Matt. 10:25
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.   Matt. 11:18-19
