RESIDENTS of Ogungbamila in Ilaje, Bariga, area of Lagos State have called on the governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, to come to their rescue over a fence that is now constituting an obstruction to the major waterway in their community.

This was contained in two separate letters made available to Sunday Tribune by the Ogungbamila Residents Association(ORA) and the Celestial Church of Christ, Ogungbamila, Bariga.

According to O.R.A., “the fence, that was constructed on the tail end of our street by unknown individuals, has become a barrier to the free-flow of water  in our area.”  The statement signed by the association’s chairman and secretary, Mr. J.O. Ajayi and M.O. David respectively, also added that “water, coming out  from the drainages in the street, could not find its ways to the canal provided by your government.”
