A David was a young man that faced many tribulations, temptations and serious problems in life.

B. As a young man, the father asked him to look after sheep in the wilderness, he had encounter with a lion and a bear; he was able to prevail. His father, the mother and the brethren hated him to the extent that when God told Samuel to go to the house of Jesse that he had provided a king for himself there, the father forgot him but God recommended David for anointing, the same God will recommend you today in Jesus name.

C. David realised this, and came to conclusion that no matter what he was passing through, he would praise the Lord because He was the one that had lifted him and had not allowed the enemy to rejoice over him — Psalm 30:1.

Di. If not fear for God, the enemy wants you dead. His mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy.

ii. But God’s mission is to give you life and more abundant life — John 10:10. I don’t know what you are passing through that is making you weep internally, if only you can praise and cry unto Him.

iii. He will lift you out of that problem. He will stop your weeping. If only you can invite Him into your situation, he will intervene. He will save and deliver you.

Ei. No problem is greater than your God — Phil. 2:9–10.

ii. He has a name that is above all names, and at the mention of that name every knee must bow.

iii. Jesus is the Lord of all. At the mention of His name, sickness will bow, barenness will bow, poverty will bow, every other power holding you captive will bow in the name of Jesus.

Fi. Your affliction may be as a result of your own sin.

ii.  Samson was anointed from his mother’s womb; he killed a lion with his bare hands, he killed 1,000 Philistines with a jaw bone of an ass, yet he threw away the instrument of victory, and salvation.

iii. In II King 2:19-22 and the children of Rachab in Jeremiah 35, it may be envy or test of your faith by God.

iv. Remember that our God is omniscience, omnipotent and omnispresent. He knows the source of your problem. He has power to solve your problem and He is always with you when you are passing through it— Isaiah 43:2.

Gi. The Bible says in Psalm 34:19, many are the affliction of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
