Keys to a happy home! (I)
WITH joy and gladness I welcome you to this wonderful edition of family forum. Not minding the fact that the year is speedily running to an end, the balance of your breakthrough unlimited will not be denied you in Jesus’ name.
This month, as inspired by the Holy Spirit, we shall be examining the topic: Keys To A Happy Home.
I wish to start by saying that the excellent taste of every soup is determined by how it is prepared. It is not enough to have all the required ingredients; you must know how to correctly put them together, before you can get the desired taste.
The same is true for a happy home. What your home becomes depends on how you make it. It is, therefore, your responsibility to make it a happy one!
God has a purpose for every home he establishes, and until that purpose is discovered by the members of the home and applied, it does not produce fulfilment.
Right from creation, God demonstrated His interest in and value placed on homes by being practically involved in the institution of marriage. Before a God-centred home can be birthed, marriage must have been in place.
Even God, the Almighty, did not just speak marriage into being as He did the beast of the field and the fowls of the air. He carefully put it together step by step. In other words, before a happy home can truly be actualized, certain efforts and contributions are required by every member of that home.
God’s Word says: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones (Proverbs. 17:22). That is, creating an atmosphere of joy in your home will bring out the best in your wife, your husband and children alike.
Your home is meant to bring you tremendous joy, but not all homes are experiencing that today. In fact, many are facing constant crises and terrible difficulties, and God is not unaware of this.
That is why this month, therefore, I will explore the subject of happy home, and see that it can work just as God designed it to, bringing honour, pleasure and satisfaction to every reader in Jesus’ name.
To undoubtedly enjoy the true joy a happy home offers, you have to be born again. It is neither by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of God (Zechariah. 4:6). Therefore, if you are set for this new birth experience right now, say this prayer with faith in your heart: Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today as a sinner. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today.
Congratulations! You are now born again!
