Wedding trends for 2011!

Share

IF  before the end of last year, your guy popped up the much awaited question: Will you be my wife? Or you are optimistic that he is going to do it in the first quarter of this year, then, you have to start planning for your wedding as soon as possible.

This is due to the fact that planning for one's wedding, no matter how exciting it may be, can be overwhelming, so, to avoid stress and fatigue, start early. You will discover that a wedding is usually the biggest and most involved party you will ever have to put together and that is the major reason you need to do it right.

The first thing you need to do is to set the date, if you do not have a date in mind, it will be  difficult for you to make any progress. After setting the date, find out the wedding trend for the year, especially if you desire to have a trendy wedding.

Here are some of the trends to expect for weddings this  year.

Wedding dress:
The trend this year is that brides will be adding a dose of texture to their princess-style ballgowns. Ruffles, roses, organza petals and layers of lace make for voluminous, dramatic silhouettes that will leave guests in awe. Wedding gowns will be more colourful this year. Whether it is choosing ivory over snow white or going bold with red or black wedding dresses, brides are  going to do away with  tradition and choose whatever colour they love best. While some may just  add a touch of colour to their white wedding Gowns. Colourful sashes, belts and ribbons will continue to be a major trend.

Bridal train:
Rather than expecting girls of different ages, body types and styles to wear the exact same thing, brides are becoming more realistic when it comes to bridesmaid dresses. The trend now is that brides will choose a basic colour scheme, then let the bridesmaids choose the shade, cut or neckline. It will  still look nice in photos and  the bridesmaids will definitely be happier.

Decorations:
Decor actions  will be pretty and simple this year . The  huge and opulent flower arrangements will give way to small and simple ones, with less quantity. Tables will  be long and elegant instead of round, because long tables not only emphasise the decoration but are also reminiscent of other times, when they were part of homemade family celebrations.

Fresh flowers and small glasses will be used to create an eco-chic and rustic ambience for the wedding.

Wedding ring:
Almost every culture exchanges a wedding ring as a symbol of their love and commitment at a wedding ceremony. But over the years, taste and style have somewhat altered and changed. Wedding rings have become more varied than ever before due to a bigger variation in designs and metals.

Invitation cards:
Wedding experts believe the colours for this year are promising to be bright and tropical, veering slightly away from the browns and blues that were in last year. To reflect this, designers are coming out with all sorts of futuristic and Art Deco invitations.

With interesting shapes and designs, although the Art Deco invitations  will look somewhat busier. Geometry is also important and that is why lots of these invitations will fold out in different ways or feature interesting geometrical cut-outs.

Experts are of the opinion that there will also be  wedding invitations that match the frilly details on the wedding dresses. Swirling fonts and beautiful pastel details will go with the feminine look that many brides are after now.

Wedding cakes:
Every year, there are new trends in wedding cakes. This year, wedding cakes will continue to be tall and elegant, but with a touch of rustic-chic, where fondant is replaced by a delicious butter cream and large sugar flowers are substituted by natural flowers, sugar glazed fruit or just fun details. The wedding cake table will be beautiful and will be the  a highlight at the reception venue.
