'We met as teenagers'
IKPONMWOSA Osamudiamen Iyawe met his heart-throb, former Miss Linda Iruobe Okosun, at the Teens Fellowship, Agape Force Church of God Mission, during the end of the year service in 1999.
Ikponmwosa, a resident doctor at University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, Edo State, speaking with Conjugal Affairs on his relationship with Linda, said: “We have known each other for over 10 years and all along, we were friends. But at the beginning of the relationship, it all started like a joke. Then, we were both young and in our teen, and I never taught it could last, not until I looked back and counted the years we spent in courtship. I've always wanted her to stay by my side forever.
Ikponmwosa said what attracted him to Linda was her natural beauty, calm spirit and intelligence.
Linda, a medical officer at Faith Medical Centre, Benin City, told Conjugal Affairs that “it was like a joke when it all started because when, “IK,” a pet name for Ikponmwosa proposed to me, I never took him serious and I was not interested in the relationship at that time, rather, I took him as a friend.
“After four months, I agreed to date him. The attraction for me was his leadership style and the fact that I see him as someone I can entrust my life to.”
The love birds walk down the aisle on September 25, 2010, at Faith Arena Church of God Mission Headquarters, Benin City, Edo State.
