JOHN Ayoola Akinkuotu and former Miss Yejide Amoke Olajide were both  200-level students of the Day Star Christian Centre's Bible College, Lagos,  when  they met some years back. Ayoola was attracted to Yejide not just because of her  black beauty but also because she is  a cool and quiet lady. According to Ayoola, an auto dealer with  Havannah Motors , ‘’ her quietness and devotion to God  made me fell in love with her but the first time I approached her , she  was very rigid. I had to seek God's face before she had a change of heart.

On her own part, Yejide, a member of staff of United Bank of Africa (UBA), Plc, told Conjugal Affairs that, "when my heart (referring to Ayoola)  made love overtures at me, I was astonished. Since   we were both in the  same class and in the same school, I initially thought it would be wrong for us to be romantically involved.

However,   when Ayoola kept on pestering me,  I  told him ‘yes’ not because of the love I had for him  but because I wanted him to stop troubling me.   "However, to my surprise, Ayoola said he was willing to take  no for an answer if I  didn't love him because for any relationship to succeed, there must be love on both sides. I then asked him to give me more time to think about it. Six months later,  I said yes.  Some of the qualities I admired in him that made  me agree to marry him were his maturity and integrity. He is a man who never pretends. Also, he could be very strict and blunt. His bluntness was however a challenge  to me at the beginning  of our courtship."

Yejide and Ayoola, were joined in  holy matrimony at the Cathedral Church of St. James the Great, Oke-Bola, Ibadan on October 23, 2010.
