THE newly commissioned commandant of the Mission for Africa Chaplaincy (MAC), Oyo State chapter, Chaplain Kayode Joseph Afolabi, has urged Christians to be more disciplined in their various fields and pray for the peace of the nation.

Chaplain Afolabi stated this during the commissioning of  the new officials of  the mission at Christ Victory Ministries, Ibadan.

“Chaplaincy is all about love, helping humanity, assisting people and working with the government; we also work hand in hand with forces and agencies. We stand for needy citizens and bring people who are down by lifting them up again. It is a way of assisting people and if anyone wants to assist his fatherland, the person will have to become a member of the chaplaincy,” he said.

Chaplain Afolabi urged the people of Oyo State  to support the state government, saying they could use their prayers to  help the state government actualise its set goals.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), described the Mission Africa Chaplaincy as a selfless service to God and humanity, noting that it  was quite unique.

He urged the new officials and the entire members of the mission to continue to serve God with due commitment because would definitely reward those who served Him with all their hearts accordingly.
