In other climes, the issue of a person’s age is never a big deal, as most people the world over never hide their ages. But not in Nigeria, where every Tijani, Iyabo and Uche will never tell their true age.

Only recently, this Yoruba singer (she has a brand of music that she helped popularise) rolled out the drums to celebrate her golden jubilee anniversary on earth. But Amebos said she is not up to what she claimed in age. In fact, they referred to a time when she claimed she was half the age she is claiming now and that if that was anything to go by, then she couldn’t be of the age she is claiming now.

And Amebos went further to state that she is not alone in this age falsification mess as they mentioned two other musicians in the Yoruba music genre who are not declaring their true ages, and that it runs in them because they always like to claim superiority.

Unfortunately, as Amebos told Tatafo, Nigerians don’t bother themselves anymore about the issue of age falsification, afterall,it is everywhere regardless of position in the society.
