NPL Must Be Well-packaged - Keshi

Share

Super Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi took time off to talk about the exploits of some Nigeria Premier League  (NPL) players who are fast becoming  integral part of the squad he is building.

Ejike Uzoenyi, Godfrey Oboabuna, Reuben Gabriel, Juwon Oshaniwa, Uche Kalu, Henry Uche, Azubuike Egweke are among the local based players who have distinguished themselves in Keshi’s team.’

However, the big boss, as the coach is fondly called believe there are still more good legs in the home front who can become great national team materials.

He, however, expressed his mind on how to discover such players, saying that the best way out is for the league to be well packaged..

Keshi said.”We still some other good players who can be nurtured for national duties. You have seen only few of them and you can see how good they are..

‘’But my only worry is that the league is not been well packaged and this can hinder the discovery of more players that will be given the opportunity to play for the national team.’’

The former Super Eagles skipper butress his arguments by referring to the Egyptian national side which he said ruled Africa for three consecutive seasons with players from the Egyptian league.
