PRESIDENT Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is expected to officially declare the 17th Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) holding at Federal Polytechnic, Ede (FPE), Osun State open today.

Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola is anticipated to play host to the arrays of dignitaries coming for the opening ceremony of the biennial games in the town among whom is the Sports Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdulahi and his education counterpart, Prof Ruqayyatu Rufai, all the three Senators from the state and House of Representatives members among others.

Meanwhile, the ancient town of Ede is bubbling with the arrival of participating institutions for the twelve days games. Most of the athletes and oficals of various institutions who arrived at the venue on Thursday and yesterday have been having fun ahead of their events while others were seeing strategising for the competitions just as the accreditations of schools athletes and other officials have so far being hitch free.
