Amos Adamu Hospitalised

Amos AdamuFORMER world football governing executive member and Confederation of African Football vice-chairman, Dr Amos Adamu is terribly sick at the moment and he is currently on admission at a Specialist Hospital in London.

A highly reliable source close to the former Director General of the Ministry of Sports revealed that Adamu’s journey to the hospital began precisely on January 17, 2012 when he complained of excruciating pains all over his body.

The former COJA ‘2003  boss who was said to have formed the habit of jogging with some selected friends to ward off boredom and keep fit at his leisure time was said to have endured the exercise on Monday the January 16 only to feel some discomfort the following day.

Sources disclosed to Saturday Tribunesports that he was immediately rushed to Lagoon Hospital at Apapa, Lagos where he was put on bed rest and specialist treatments.

The usually reliable source revealed that Dr Adamu was discharged from the Lagoon Hospital on Tuesday January 24, 2012 from where he immediately left for the United Kingdom for specialist treatment.

“We thank God for his life. He was really in bad shape on the morning of January 17 and we had to promptly rush him to a nearby hospital until we were referred to the Lagoon hospital.

“As of now he is now stable at the London hospital and he has been speaking and able to recognise people. I think the worst is gone but we just have to continue to pray for him. He is now under serious observation.”
