OSAZE Odemwingie said his move to England with West Brom will put pressure on him to perform better.

The English Premier League enjoys a fanatical followership in Nigeria, where Odemwingie is a cult figure following first class performances for Nigeria, and he admitted that will put pressure on him to show up week in week out.

"I believe my move to the Premier League in England is a positive one. We know a lot of people now follow the EPL in Nigeria, and this will put pressure on us to want to perform at all costs and do better," he said.

The 29-year-old is expected to play a big part in Sunday's African Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar, but said the part-timers will be treated with respect.

"We will approach the match against Madagascar with all the seriousness it deserves. It is a home game and we don’t intend to underrate them or any other team in the group whatsoever."

It would be recalled that Osaze scored  the winning goal in his debut with West Brom  and was also outstanding in last week game against Liverpool which West- Brom lost.
