Nigeria May Break Up By 2015

The complete breakdown of the trio of social, political and economic aspects may befall the nation by 2012! But the mutual confidence and mutual respect between the government and the governed has been lost by 2011.
The events mentioned above were and are designed to be the portion of both Nigeria and Nigerians in subsequent occurrences.
The wrong start was concereted by the colonial masters in 1959 and 1960 in Lagos. How?
From among the three or four regions which formed Nigeria between 1953 and 1959, the best in terms of provision for social amentities, economic prudence and political prowess among them was the Western Region which became the towering infinity under the Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
If merit was engineered to be a yardstick then,Obafemi Awolowo would have become the pioneer Prime Minister of Nigeria. And if that had been allowed, he (Awolowo) would have performed beyond the unbeatable records of positive actions, infinite performance, excellent structures and laudable process he assembled in the region as the first ever Premier, even before independence of 1960.
But because the British colonial masters did not want Nigeria to be a real independent nation with its own mind, they muddled up the country after they had succeeded in partially disregarding the system and method Obafemi Awolowo had introduced as Premier of Western Region. They saw nothing unique, they appreciated nothing peculiar and they encouraged nothing spectacular in the region of Obafemi Awolowo.
Therefore, lack of honesty, accommodation of injustice, non-recognition of quality, desire for chaotic situation and nepotism on the part of the British colonial masters engineered the political rowdies which instigated the political failure within six uneventual years after independence in 1960.
If honesty extols a nation,therefore lack of honesty will jeopardize a nation where the leaders are dishonest, wicked and selfish. From 1957 till date, both dishonesty and injustice have become parts and parcels of our social, economic and political operations. They have become our greatest crimes and they both put the nation to constant jeopardy.
In fact, 51 years after our break from the jinx of the British, both the nation and its people have not improved and progressed more than the feat performed in the old western region of Awolowo’s administration. The statement is painful, but that is the absolute truth.
On the eve of the last presidential election of April 16, 2011, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari told the whole global village that if he does not win the presidential election, “I would make the country ungovernable.”
Barely 24 hours after the election, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was declared winner by the INEC chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega. The announcement was followed with wanton killing of corpers, Christians, sympathizers of PDP and security personnel in two zones of the North.
People of the world know that Buhari had made good his threat; to make the country ungovernable for the winner of that presidential election.
Since then, armed robberies have become a daily routine across the length and breadth of Nigeria, with the effect becoming devastating. Arsons and assassinations have expelled peace and love. The Boko Harams sect has added another dimension to the nation’ tragedy; it has programmed the nation to the path of religious war.
What amused me most was the collective silence of almost all the Emirs, political heavy weights, respected religious leaders and economic professionals of northern origin. The sealed lips were maintained until the Boko Haram Sect sustained its threat to bomb churches on Christmas Day - Sunday December 25, 2011 which eventually destroyed peace of three sensitive states that were attacked with bombs and shootings; Abuja, Niger and Plateau states, where many Christians were killed, maimed and their vehicles got burnt, would now call his Hyenas and Wolves to order to stop eating greedily into the flesh of Nigerians.
In fact President Goodluck Jonathan has to be very careful now. Otherwise a dream in which he was seen transformed into a green snake, killed with a carpenter’s hammer may come to pass. How?
Goodluck Jonathan’s government knew very well it has no physical muscle, political will and moral justice to arrest Muhammed Buhari and prosecute him. Secondly, Jonathan has no means to eradicate armed robberies with their devastating effects on the people. Thirdly, Jonathan has no weapons which he can use to subdue the Boko Haram sect.
Fourthly, Jonathan can not clear and clean the rot and debris in the stable of the nation’s judiciary.
Again, Jonathan can not solve the riddles of unemployment across the nation. Also, Jonathan can not stem down the atmospheric tension of the moment. Yet our President is bent on removing oil subsidy from 2012 against the feelings and wishes of the majority in the land.
He should be told pointblank that he will become the enemy of the people - at least the poor people who formed over 70% of the nation’s population, by going ahead with the removal of oil subsidy in 2012.
