THE Hoteliers’ Association of Nigeria, South-West zone, rose from its monthly meeting with a call to government at the federal and state levels to partner with the association as part of measures to curb insecurity in the country.

The meeting, held in Ibadan, Oyo State, during the week was well attended with several burning issues discussed.

The association maintained that it was important for the government to appreciate the strategic role of the hospitality industry in the country as an interface between the public and government.

It said that government must carry the association along as it faces the task of tackling insecurity in the country.

The association, which addressed the press through its protem president, Chief Jerome Adoroh, noted that the aim of the association was to complement government’s efforts at developing the country and the tourism and hospitality industries.

Those who attended the meeting include the chairmen of the association in Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti and Ondo states, Chief Ayo Fadipe, Prince Femi Egbodofo, Are Tola Odunuga and Otunba J.K. Ayeni, respectively, and Chief Jerome Adoroh, who doubles as the protem president and the chairman of Oyo State’s Hotelier Association.
