NURTW Confirms Agbede As Chairman
President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasin, has endorsed and confirmed the Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede-led executive of the Lagos State council of the union.
Agbede had been leading the state NURTW in acting capacity as chairman over the last few months.
The confirmation took place during a visit by the national president and other members of the national executive to the Lagos State chapter of the union on Thursday.
Speaking during the visit, the president said, “I am happy with what we are witnessing today. This executive, under Agbede, is really enjoying the cooperation of everybody in the state council. Since nobody changes a winning team, I hereby confirm the executive.”
“I am happy with the level of peace you have been able to bring to the state council and I would advise that you continue to maintain the peace, especially at the branch level,” the president stated.
