PDP Holds Retreat For Officers

Share

THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will tomorrow begin a three-day retreat for members of its National Working Committee (NWC) and the six zonal chairmen as part of the reform programme initiated by the party’s new leadership.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Friday, said the retreat was the first step in the line-up of reform programmes intended to prepare the new officers for the challenge of re-engineering the party as “a formidable, people-oriented, issue-based and united political party.”

The statement recalled the content of the acceptance speech of the national chairman of the party, Dr Bamanga Tukur, after his election in March, where he assured Nigerians that the opportunity given to the new leadership to serve was a historic moment to rebuild  not only the party, but the entire nation.
