AUTHORITIES of the Nigerian aviation industry have called for all air traffic control logs as part of moves to determine the cause of the recent Dana plane crash in Lagos that claimed more than 160 lives.

Saturday Tribune gathered that the directive followed the scoop in its last week’s edition of some airlines failing to heed regular official warnings on the condition of their aircraft.

The report had indicated that one private airline was still operating at least three of its aircraft already logged as regards their poor condition.

An official exclusively gave the detailed account of how the particular airline allegedly ignored a directive grounding the aircraft, one of which he described as being in a critical condition.

It was learnt that the report ruffled many feathers, with stakeholders in the industry taking stock of the situation on ground.

Top officials in the industry issued directives to all airports in the country immediately after the publication, especially concerning the log books for collation and analysis by experts.

The step was among other panicky measures embarked upon by the authorities and management of most of the airlines with the aim of restoring public confidence in the industry after the recent crash at Iju-Ishaga.
