PDP Has No Performance History - Oshiomhole
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a political party without a history of performance.
Oshiomhole spoke during his re-election campaign at Oredo Ward 7 in Benin City, the state capital.
He told the people, “We must ask Vice President Namadi Sambo when he comes to campaign for the PDP in Edo State what the party has done for the state. Ask the Vice President to go beyond the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the rally, to show the people what they did in 10 years.”
Oshiomhole further said “When the Vice President comes to campaign for the PDP, he must tell us if he wants to return the state to the past. They must look at Ogbe Stadium; they must ask Dr. Ogbemudia, when the stadium was re-commissioned, what he told the Edo people and also tell the people how the stadium was in the 10 years of the PDP rule.
According to him, “If they tell you what they will do in the future, they must tell you what they did in the past. What we have to live for is to ensure that Nigeria must make progress and any invasion from Abuja to rig the election in Edo State must be resisted. As future leaders, you have a duty to refuse to be intimidated.”
Oshiomhole warned that members of the political class were putting their selfish interest above national security, just as he further said Edo people, who had seen changes, would defend those changes.
At the Iyekogba ward 2, also in Oredo Local Government Area, the governor said the government had extended electricity to some communities in the area, sunk a borehole while there were five more to be done, promising that the government would build primary and secondary schools in the area next year.
Oshiomhole further said, “To decongest Benin City, we are going to develop satellite towns like Iyekogba. We will continue the beautification of Benin and encourage people to move to the new towns.”
He added that the first phase of making the Airport road to Ogba River in Benin City a dual carriageway was ongoing, while the second phase from Ogba River to Iyekogba would commence in 2013.

where? From Lucky and Gabrial Igbenedion.Oshiomole is full of lias, talks and deceits. The roads in bini are federal roads,it happen bcos of one man-Chief Aninih. The royal father that are getting 10million from Oshiomole monthly contributed northing to the state,he don,t even pay tax from it.To be honest, insult on chief aninih is an insult on Esan land.If Oshiomole is honest to himself,he should have bring lucky Igbenedion to justic, that is why we don,t want him there again with his region party. All ACN governors are members of Boko Haram, the Mr Truth are you not aware of that?We lost alots of Binis to B/H in the North,Ur deceitful Oshiomole NEVER talks about it,instead he compensated Hausas that abandon there cows.Is COWS more important than Binis that lost there lives to B/H in the North?ACN will take the part of AD.I have NO personal grudge against Oshiomole but his lias and talks are not good enough for the edo people.
