Okotie Calls For Interim Govt
Senior Pastor of the Household of God Church, Reverend Chris Okotie, broke his silence on national issues as he informed Saturday Tribune that the only way out of the present political logjam in the country is the establishment of an interim government that will be facilitated by individuals with no political affiliations.
“The only way to resolve this issue right now, in my view, is to set up an interim government. Because of the sensitivity of the issue and because of its potential for chaos, we must rise above political leanings and whatever cleavages that polarises us and find a place of dialogue to resolve this issue.
Two camps within the PDP must come to a place where they recognise that they can’t win. That is why I’m saying that the only way forward for Nigeria, if the Nigerian people are going to get involved, is to say “no, we’ve had enough of this.”
This is not the time to quarrel; it’s the time to find a rapprochement. So, they should step aside and let us evolve an interim government of Nigerians that are not tainted by any political affiliations.”
