Alliance Autos, a subsidiary of CFAO France and the official National Sales Centre (NSC) for Nissan and Renault products in Nigeria, at the motoring event held in Lagos, said it was proud to unveil Nissan Sentra to its Nigerian customers.
The motor company said the new Sentra would be available immediately as a way of reinforcing Alliance Auto’s objective in the Nigerian automobile industry.
Emphasising this was the Managing Director, Alliance Autos, Mr. James Duncan, who said Nissan Sentra, with its new level of sophistication, would stand out in the automobile market.
The Sentra, according to the MD, “combines the traditional strengths which drew us to the Nissan brand in the first place, durability, with new levels of style and sophistication to really make it stand out of crowd.”
He said the release of Sentra made it the ninth auto brand which Alliance Autos had unveiled in Nigeria in four years.
“The power developed by Sentra is transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, or Nissan intelligent XTronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
“With no set ratios, this latest innovation in gear box technology delivers a driving experience which is exceptionally smooth, but also ensures that the force being produced by the motor is always available just when you need it, while delivering a market improvement in overall fuel usage,” Duncan said.
Duncan stated that Nissan Sentra’s new technology was aimed at improving power delivery and fuel efficiency.
Nissan had also ensured that Sentra drivers would remain safe through the fitting of active safety electronic such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), for optimum braking on all surface conditions.
The company said the full complement of airbags in the car would ensure drivers and passengers’ safety in the event of collision.
