WOMEN  are called the fairer sex  for a reason; they are inherently  capable of being more dainty and pleasing than the men. As the saying goes, girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice which is why they perfectly complement the men.

It is very easy for the woman to come up with an infinite list of things about men that turn her off because men quite easily can be the more obnoxious in more than one way. The fact remains that men and women complement each other and the beauty of this is most evident in an intimate, healthy and mutually beneficial relationship.

Incidentally, men get turned on at the drop of a hat and most women know that it does not take much for them to have a man jumping the hoops. But as humans, men are just as prone to being repulsed by certain tendencies in women which induce a complete turn off.

Some of these things are quite common and we live with them everyday such that many ladies tend to overlook them as quite unnecessary. So, ladies, what are those things that can turn your man off?

•The silence treatment
Most women have a tendency to use silence treatment when they are hurt or angry about a certain behaviour in their man. They put on a cold front and refuse to reply in a normal manner. The usual reply to all the queries that their men put across would be a pert “nothing.” This is highly irritating to men and in many cases, makes them want to tear their hair off. A man would be much happier if his woman is willing to talk out the issues at stake instead of starting a cold war which eventually, she may not be able to finish.

•Being a cold fish in bed
Some women, either selfishly or through no fault of theirs, are completely unresponsive in bed. A guy is bound to feel turned off and frustrated when he finds that he is the only moving object under the duvet. Sex is supposed to be playful, mutually enjoyable and fun, entailing a lot of movements, hummings and even noises. The more energetic it is, the more fun and pleasurable. 

There are many women who are very inhibited and shy about their sexuality which ends up making them act like cold fish when in-between the sheets with their men. Most men take this as a personal insult on their sexual prowess. Those that are highly sexed may find it dificult to cope with such ladies and the next thing they will do is to quietly ease themselves out of the affair.

•Facial and body hair growth
Men are hairy all over which is the very reason they are attracted to a hairless body in their women (apart from the head hair and of course, eye brows). Even though some men are turned on at the sight of a lady with hairy legs, most men are actually turned on by waxed legs and arms while they get turned off if they detect anything hairy on a woman’s body. 

I must say, however, that facial hair is a complete turn off for most men, especially around the chin or lip area. This is not a judgment but an unconscious reaction.

•Being overly possessive
Men are usually the chasers and they like to stay that way. If a guy finds out a girl is chasing him all over the place, he is bound to lose his interest in her. To keep the man interested, the babe must remain a challenge. If she gets overly possessive about him, this would merely turn him off.

•Too religious
Some women tend to get overly religious or spiritual which can be a huge turn off for some men. Now, this is arguable. It is true that there are many men who take God very seriously and will appreciate God-fearing and prayerful (not necessarily religious) women but some men find it a turn off to be with overly religious women for whatever reasons.

•A nagging attitude
There is something about men that gets women to nag them, especially as the relationship ages. Most men complain about the prevailing hard times which they have to contend with amid continuous complaints and scorns from their wives or partners in their quest for “self improvement” on the part of the men. 

Women, on the other hand, have no clue what the fuss is all about, after all, they are only trying to “improve” their men. This may gradually become a major issue that can make a hitherto loving and close couple to grow apart.

•Too attached to her family
It is quite a pain for a man to have to contend with his in-laws, owing to his wife’s or partner’s obsessive attachment  to her parents. There is nothing wrong with being attached to your parents as long as it does not start eating into the personal time that you should be spending with your man, this is what most men feel. 

It is quite frustrating for the man to find his wife on phone with her mother through most of the evening when she should either be in the kitchen or ruminating over the day’s activities with him or just snuggling close to him.

•A dirty and careless personality
Nothing turns a man off in a woman more than a flabby looking, ape-like fellow, walking about the house without etiquette. 

Many ladies now throw caution to the winds the moment they settle into marriage or are in a committed relationship. They care less about their looks and comportment, they suddenly transit from that beautiful babe to a grandma. 

I chuckle when I see some old classmates and/or childhood acquaintances who, today, look like my big mummy. A lady must remain takeable 24/7. She must pay adequate attention to herself inside out. This ranges from basic things like wearing clean undies, wearing well-manicured nails and a well-made hairstyle. A lady must never have mouth or body odour, she must never be caught with a bushy armpit as well.
