The experience of penultimate Friday will, no doubt linger in the memories of Nigerian entertainers for a long time. It was a day Nollywood star actress, Elizabeth Daniels, hosted friends and colleagues to a classy birthday shindig at Shaunz Lounge, an upscale rendezvous tucked away in Murphys Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Earlier, before the all night party, which was dubbed one of the best birthday gigs by a Nollywood actress in recent time, Lizzy, as the actress is fondly called, had visited a Lagos based orphanage where she celebrated and donated gift items to the underprivileged kids.
The actress cum movie producer actually celebrated double on the day. She also showed the preview of Behind The Melody, her debut movie as a producer. The multi-million naira flick, directed by Moses Ewang starred actors such as Ini Edo, Jim Iyke and Elizabeth Daniels herself, among others.
Some of the celebrities that added spice and glamour to the birthday party include Ruggedman, Faze, May D, Charles O’Tudor, Ini Edo and Tony Okoye, the Chief Executive Officer of Ajeh Clothing.
Others include Victor Olaitan of Tinsel, Chukwuka Christopher, Uche Nwaezeapu, Alex Ekubo, Chigozie Atuanya and Okey Bakassi.
According to Ini Edo, “Elizabeth is a fantastic actress, and she is a fast leaner too. Behind The Melody may be her first film as a producer, but I can assure you it is a chartbuster. What she has proved is that to succeed in this industry is not a matter of how long, but how well you do things.
“Also, we are all happy to celebrate her birthday with her because she really deserves such honour and I strongly believe that the sky will be her starting point.”
