There is no gainsaying the fact that whatever
one is destined to become in life starts like a
child’s play. This came into reality in the life of a gospel musician, Evangelist (Mrs.) Olubukola Akinade (a.k.a. Senwele Jesu).
The story of her life as a child of destiny to win souls for God through music dated back to when she was six and was in the juvenile choir of St. David Cathedral, Kudeti, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Senwele Jesu carved a niche for herself through a unique style of her gospel music (Senwele), developed the talent and became a household name. To date, she has released six albums.
On how she formed her band, Senwele Jesu explained that not quite long after she graduated to adult choir, she, alongside two of her friends, featured in special programmes in the church and later formed the band at The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1995. Today, the band has grown to 21 members.
