STILL basking in the euphoria of their success as the Best African Act, the duo of Paul and Peter Okoye, P-Square, have indeed proved that the honour bestowed on them by KORA is not a fluke as their musical tour of the United States of America turned out to be a success. The one and a half month tour, which ended in New York City on July 24, has been described as the most successful so far by any African artiste in the United States.

During the tour, the E No Easy crooners performed in seven major cities; Houston, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Oakland, Maryland, Canada, Toronto and New York. All the shows were sold out, and the least time P-Square spent on stage in each of the shows was two and a half hours.

In fact, it was gathered that the Maryland show was almost cancelled due to the fact that the crowd that besieged the venue to watch the Nigerian stars were more than the capacity of the venue.

During one of their performances, Peter was almost allegedly raped by some female fans, but was quickly rescued by security agents after the fans almost stripped him naked.

According to Peter, he and his twin brother, Paul, are yet to find the right words to describe the success of the tour, which has prompted American star singer, Drake, to reportedly approach them for a collabo.

“I don’t actually know how to explain how successful the tour was because aside the fact that all the shows were sold-out, the passion shown by the fans, particularly the white ones, was incredible. I never knew the Americans love us that much. Surprisingly, they knew the lyrics of our songs and were singing along,” Peter hinted.
