Two Men Are Asking Me Out

Share

Dear Yemisi,

I am 18 years old, and all my friends are hooked up in one relationship or the other.

Right now, I have two people asking me out, and one of them is a youth corps member He intends marry to me and the other is my classmate.

What do I do?

Doris.

Dear Doris,

All your friends are not you. You are an individual in your own right and you have to learn to be yourself at all times.

You must not join the multitude to do evil.

You need not rush into having an affair because your friends are either in one or two relationships.

Have they ever told you the challenges they are battling with? They will never be sincere with you in such illegality they have found themselves. It is an imposed bondage to the best of my understanding. I stand to be challenged if your friends have all it takes to nurture a crisis-free affair.

Doris, don’t start what you cannot finish now. I can’t see any of the two asking for your consent in relationship as being sincere with their demands.

The youth corps member is looking for a shoulder to rest on while the service lasts, while your classmate is in dire need of fun.

Though I don’t know what you do for a living, but the basis for wanting to have a date in this jet age is all lust-driven. There is no sincere man who would want to have a liability as a partner. I’m not saying you are one, but you are rather two fragile for hiccups associated with failed relationships. Having a boyfriend cum lover will only distract you from your focus assuming you have one for now. Your classmate can’t see beyond his nose and likewise you.

Handle your life with care please, and don’t be caught in the web of going into dating with immaturity. The game requires tact and wisdom.

Be careful.
