ShareDear Yiemis,
PLEASE, l need an urgent reply to this issue. I'm a 25-year-old lady who is in a relationship for the past six years.

But the family of my fiancee doesn't want me to the extent that they have stopped him from seeing me and had even reconciled him with his former girlfriend whom they had once rejected.  I have come to realise that the lady stays with them.

What should I do? I love him.

Please, reply me.

Victoria.

Dear Victoria,
There is every cause for you to be appreciative of your creator. Do you know why I am of this opinion?

There is nothing that you would do assumiing that you force yourself on the guy that would be right in the eyes of your proposed in-laws. They have made up their mind not to support your marriage.

You don’t have to lose your sleep just because of their decision. I believe that at the end of every dark tunnel, there is light.

What they have done might appear painful, but you need to know that it is an opportunity for you to move on and get a better suitor.

The bottomline is that your man is  spineless and insincere. What efforts did he make in persuading his family from accepting you as his wife-to-be? He successfully played along all those six years. Because there is nothing he can say to prove innocence of his family’s final decision.

Please, forget him. You were the only one in love, he never cared.

Take your time. Never allow this issue to weigh you down. You will meet with the bone of your bones at God’s own appointed time. Keep your mind occupied with positive things. You will discover that the experience would pay off in the end.
