I Don’t Want To Lose My Virginity

Share

Dear Yemisi,
I have a very big problem, I am a 17-year-old girl. I have a boyfriend aged 20, we’re in love with each other.
But the problem is that I am still a virgin and my boyfriend is not happy about it. He has really begged for it.
Although, I’ve promised to give it to him, the date that I gave him is gradually approaching and I found that I don’t want to lose my virginity. I don’t want us to break.
Honestly, I am confused.
Please, advise me on what to do.
Confused Girl.

Dear Confused Girl,
I agree that you are having a big problem that you have created for yourself out of indecision.
My dear, at 17, you are too young to have sexual relationship with a boy. I want to tell you categorically that you have nothing to lose if you keep your virginity.
Let the boy go. You don’t have to join the bandwagon of value debasers all in the name of socialisation. You will have yourself to blame if, at the end of the day, you listen to his deception.
I guess the date you gave him is not over, but I beg you to send him a text or tell him point blank that he should hold his peace.
Dear girl, you will have to make a choice whether to remain happy or sad for the decision you make now. You cannot have your cake and eat at the same time.
Even if the boy is 30, what he is asking for could be delayed if you have any ambition for your life.
If the boy chooses to call it quits, please, allow him to go, because the only assignment he has for you is to destroy your vision. And don’t allow any intimidation to overwhelm you.
You would be glad in the end if you succeeded in putting your feet down.
Delay sex for now. It shouldn’t be your priority. And who tells you that you are going to be married in future.
My dear, learn to resist offers of this nature as you save your neck of unnecessary fears and anxiety.
