Igbo Youth Movement calls for true federalism

UNLESS Nigeria is restructured along the line of true federalism, the nation’s dream for greatness would be a mirage, the President of the Igbo Youth Movement, Evangelist Elliot Uko has warned.

To this end, the Igbo Youth leader has called on the Presidency as well as members of the National Assembly to create an enabling law that would give every section of the country a relative degree of autonomy that would enable them manage their own affairs.

Evangelist Uko who made the views while speaking in an interview with Sunday Tribune in Enugu , said that true federalism would also reduce corruption and engender political and economic growth in the country, stressing that the nation would continue to wallow in darkness until justice and equity were enthroned in the land.
