Cleric calls for unity in the church

RIGHT Rev. Titus Fajemirokun, the Bishop of Ijesa North Missionary Diocese, last Saturday called for the unity of the church and government so as to enhance the much needed development in the house of God and government.

Rt. Rev. Fajemirokun made the call at the collation, induction and installation of Venerable Samuel Kayode Olawoyin as the Dean, Cathedral, Church of Saint Mathew, Ijebu Jesa, Osun State.

The Bishop, who throughout his speech at the occasion emphasised the urgent need of such unity in the church said it is only with it that a nation can grow.

The cleric further stated that the choice of Veneral Olawoyin as the Dean and Archdeacon for the Diocese was divine adding that he would not put aside God’s directive to obey any human being.

While counselling the new Dean, Bishop Fajemirokun said that the new position was a challenging one, stressing that it is a position of authority, trust, adding that the new Dean would lead clergy and other members in the Diocese.

He urged him to get closer to Christ, work in God at all time. The Bishop further stressed the importance of wisdom, native intelligence while, urging him to stay by the truth.

He urged Venerable Olawoyin on the need for patience, as according to him, people would want to task his patience and wisdom during the course of his duty.
