Going forward in life!

Life is a race. But unfortunately, many do not know this fact and so they live their lives very carelessly. They are like fans at a football match, who know all about the players and can make all manner of analysis, but who do not get any prize at the end of the match.

I will be showing you how to go forward in life, as an active participant in the race of life. To go forward in life, you must see life as a race. It takes those who see it as such to succeed. Nobody becomes a champion without having taken part in a race. Champions are not born; they are made. So, your desire to be a champion in any endeavour begins with the task of identifying the race set before you.

For instance, if your dream is to become a star footballer or sprinter, the first thing to do is to mark out the race. You must know the rules of the race. This is because you will never rise up to action, until you know the race that is set before you (Hebrews 12:1).

You must know what is before you in the race of life. There is a race set before each of us, and it can be located by one’s identified gift, calling or choice. If it is business, for example, you face it devotedly. Know that if you are not in any race, you are not a candidate for success in life. If you are not in any race and yet you are dreaming of being a star, then you are a self-deceiver.

If you are not in any race, you have by your own hands erased your destiny. So, identify your race and don’t toy with it.

Friend, the power to focus on life as a race is available, if you are a child of God. You become His child by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are set for it, please say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me! Amen.

“The offence of the cross” (III)

HIS resurrection shows his power even over death, and he will save us from eternal death and give us everlasting life if we trust Him as Saviour and Lord. This sounds so simple that many people won’t accept it. They try other ways to obtain eternal life (through the various religious rituals), but their attempts will not work. The “foolish” people who simply accept Christ’s offer are actually the wisest of all, because they alone will live eternally with God.

It is not the method of preaching that is considered foolish, but the message of the Lordship of the crucified and resurrected Christ. The message of the cross not only involves wisdom and truth, but the active power of God coming down to save, heal, drive out demons and redeem from sin’s power. Moreover, according to the true word of God, the cross is Blessings from the manifestation of the power of God unto salvation to all who believe Cl Cor. 1 :23, 24). It is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe (Eph. 1: 19). It is the wisdom of God Cl Cor. 1 :23, 24). The name of the crucified and risen Christ Jesus, is above every other name in heaven, on earth, and under the earth.

It is specially given by God, to heal the sick, drive out demons, perform miracles, and above all, to redeem believers from sin, satan, and death, and to give eternal salvation to all who believe. (Phi. 2:5-11; Acts 3:6-8; 4:12; John 3:16,18,36; Mark 16:17­20). Victory comes when we are willing to crucify (humble and discipline) self, accept the cross of Christ by faith, and follow Him trustingly for the rest of our lives (Luke 14:27).

These are just some of the many pressing reasons why you need the crucified and resurrected Jesus Christ today. He loves you, and died a painful death to save you. Please come to Him penitently and trustingly today, with your load of sins and other problems, and He will accept you, forgive your sins, heal all your wounds (diseases and other problems of life), and give you everlasting life in heaven, freely. “As the scripture say.”, ‘Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame’” (Rom. 10:11). I fervently pray that God will give you the enabling power to believe and accept this Good News ioday, and thus qualify to receive the divinely promised blessings that automatically follow, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
