Who is a 21st Century teenager?

altI dare to say that a 21st Century teenager is far better than the 18th or 19th Century. He is happier in every aspect of life, because life has been made easy for him. He is well informed and talented. He has access to good education, transportation, social media, health facilities, among other infrastructural facilities. Though, in the olden days, teenagers had better moral and cultural upbringing, but I prefer to be a 21st century teenager.

am a 21st century teenager and I’m proud to be. It is more interesting and fun to be a teenager in this century. A 21st century teenager is more enlightened and has access to qualitative education. Teenagers of past centuries due to lack of information fell victim of some social vices such as unwanted pregnancy, early marriage, premature death due to inadequate health facilities. However, as a 21st century teenager, I have access to new technology, internet facilities, updated fashion, guidance and counselling, among other things.
•Emmanuel Oladele, 14 years old, SSS 1.

A 21st century teenager lives in a computer age, where the computer is used to do almost everything if not all. And a result of her knowledge about computer and its components, he thinks faster than other teenagers, who had lived in the past. A 21st century teenager has a good dress sense, because you can easily get a dress code from the internet. There are also disadvantages of being one now because some 21st century teenagers have gone into crimes, such as yahoo yahoo and other vices. I am a 21st century teenager with good values and morals.

A 21st century teenager socialises based on the opportunities she have access to. My mother do tell me that children of nowadays, enjoy more than children of the olden days, because we have better opportunities. The 21st century teenagers are trained to be self dependent and employed. I operate as a 21st century teen because I have better understanding of things, current, knowledgeable and bold.
•Elizabeth Longe, 16 years old, SSS 3.

A 21st century teenager is one who lives in a developed world; one, this generation calls the “new school”. Sometimes, I don’t feel proud of my generation because it is such that is not close to God and prefers to have good things of life at the expense of its future. On the other hand, when I remember the improvement in science and how the youth no longer die anyhow, I halt to say that the 21st century teenagers are lucky.
•Udokang Emmanuel, SSS 3.

I am a 21st century teenager, but a positive one. The 21st century teenagers are widely exposed. The exposure we have affects us either positively or negatively depending on the kind of guidance we are able to get. We want to dress like foreigners, handle life with levity and do whatever we want. We should rather imbibe the core values of life the older generation is trying to pass unto us.
