THE fourth edition of the South West Private Secondary Shools Basketball Championship began on Thursday at the basketball court of the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

The championship organised by the National Sports Commission (NSC), Zone one, is featuring male and female basketball teams from the South-West Zone  of the country.

The Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Steve Olarinoye while speaking with Tribunesports  stated that the aim of organising the competition was to discover new talents, promote the game in schools, and also create an atmosphere of friendliness among students.

Trophies, certificates and prizes would be presented to winners at the end of the three-day event.
