SUPER Eagles coach Stephen Keshi says he is uncomfortable anytime he hears or reads about discrimination between foreign and local based players, saying that the media should desist from using such tags.

In a chat with sportwriters in Ijebu-Ode where he was on ground to watch a CAF Champions League match involving Sunshine Stars and Esperance of Tunisia, Keshi expressed displeasure on the issue arguing that all the players are Nigerian players.

''This is one area that has not been making me happy. The issue discriminating between the players based here and those abroad is not good for the team we are trying to build.

''All the players are our brother, even those you are calling the foreign based, were did they come out from, were they not here before travelling abroad. Please, let's stop talking about foreign based against home based, let's  see the players as the same,'' said the ex international.

Speaking on the pairing of Liberia against his team in the final qualifying match for the AFCON 2013, Keshi said the team will put in the best of preparation ahead of the match.

''Our goal is to qualify for the Nations Cup, likewise every team, so we will work hard to pick the ticket. It is not going to come on a platter of gold, forget about rating,  as I said before, there is no minnows in African football, so we've got to do our best to qualify,'' he said.

On the aborted friendly against English Premiership side, Arsenal, the big boss, as he is fondly called expressed no ill feelings about it saying that. ''We did not have that in our programme before, we only tried to accommodate it when it came up. Now we will ensure that come August 15 which is a FIFA free day, we are involved in an international friendly.''
