ENGLISH Premiership side, Queens Park Rangers (QPR), has finally secured an international clearance and work permit to allow the Nigerian international defender, Taye Taiwo, play for the London club.

Also, it was revealed on Rangers' official phone-in show, London Call-In. yesterday that Taiwo will spot jersey number 34 at Rangers for the period of his six-month loan.

The Nigerian defender sealed a loan switch from Italian giants, AC Milan last month to end a difficult time at the San Siro.

The ex-Olympique Marseille man had also been linked with another London club, Arsenal during the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile one of Taiwo's new teammate, Joey Barton is happy with the Nigerian arrival.

"Taye Taiwo from AC Milan is a big signing for the Rs," he explained.

"He was very good when I saw him at Marseille. Good news. First of many, fingers crossed," Barton said.

Club coach, Mark Hughes believes that the experience of Taiwo and Frenchman Djibril Cisse as well as the arrival of Bobby Zamora are capable of steering Rangers out of troubled zone.

However, Taiwo could make his loan deal at Loftus Road permanent in the summer if he impresses Hughes.
