THE management of Chariot Basketball team has set Premier League target for the team as the 2010 National Division One Basketball League dunks off from March 26 to April 6 this year at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

Speaking with Tribunesports on Monday, Chairman of the club, Luka Yakubu, who commended the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), for organising the Division One League expressed hope that his team would pick the ticket to the Premier League given its level of preparedness for the competition.

He however, clamoured for strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the game.

Yakubu said, ''I am prepared to play any team because we are fully prepared and if the NBBF can stick to its rules, I don’t see any team that will defeat my team. I have the players, and the technical crew is up to the task."

He stated that he is into the game to contribute his quota to the development of the game and to empower the youth who can as well do the nation proud in future.

Yakubu then expressed appreciation to the Police basketball team for its support.
