Nigeria to face Korea, 3 others in friendlies

NIGERIA’s Super Eagles have confirmed they will play four friendly matches in the warm-up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

New Super Eagles coach, Lars Lagerback, is keen to put his side through as often as possible and will be pleased that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has moved quickly to secure the matches against North Korea, Paraguay, Colombia and Ukraine.

The match against the North Koreans (April 14) will be played in Pyongyang, while the remainder will be in London, where the team will prepare for the tournament before travelling to South Africa.

They face Paraguay on May 15, Colombia on May 26 and Ukraine on May 29.

Nigeria is preparing to meet Greece, Argentina and South Korea, so have gone for a mix of Asian, South American and European footballing styles in the selection.
