FIBA U-19 Women World tourney: NBBF rolls out roster

THE Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) has rolled out its roster in preparation for this year's FIBA U-19 Championships for women scheduled to hold between July 21 to 31 , 2011 in France.

Nigeria's female basketball team will report to a training camp in Washington D.C from June 7 to 14 before jetting out to Fougeres and Reze, France to feature in two warm-up tournaments between June 17 and 26. The tournaments will have countries like China, Brazil and host, France in attendance.

The first ever U-19 female team for Nigeria will be coached by Adewumi Aderemi, who led Nigeria to a second place finish at the 2010 U-18 FIBA Africa Championships held in Cairo, Egypt.

The Nigerian team consist of: Promise Amukura(Arizona state), Peace Amukura (Apollo High School, Glendale Arizona), Loliya Briggs (University of Pittsburgh), Izoehelegee Ebomwonya (Tulane University), Ezinne Kalu (Savannah State University), Afure Jemerigbe (University of California), Elo Eldema (Mount Zion Christian Academy, NC), Sarah Imovbioh (University of Virginia), Sandra Udobi (Life Center Academy), Ijeoma Uchendu (Grayson County College), Uju Ugoka (Grayson County College) and Elem Ibiam (University of South Carolina).
